MARK NICHOLS, FOUNDER + DIRECTOR 

LESLIE NICHOLS, MINISTRY ASSISTANT

Mark started riding when he was 4 years of age and started racing by 9. He is one of the few who has an equal passion for Offroad and Motocross racing. At the age of 21 he answered a call to full-time ministry. He graduated from Cincinnati Christian University in 1988 and was ordained at his home church in 1989. Mark has been in full-time ministry ever since, working in churches in Ireland, Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky. 

After spending 20 wonderful years as a preacher in the local church he joined Fellowship of Christian Athletes MX ministry. With FCA MX he was able to join his two great passions: Jesus and dirt bikes. For three years he worked with this great ministry starting new teams and camps. 

Since 2016, Mark has been working with Fuel Ministry. Fuel has allowed Mark and his team of volunteers to focus more on trackside ministry while continuing to be involved in camps. He and his wife, Leslie, love traveling the region and sharing God’s truth/love with racers and their families.

Leslie is also a staff member who helps the team with administrative duties and has the role of keeping Fuel Ministry running smoothly.  She is a HUGE PART of the registration process and the paperwork that goes with running summer camps.  Leslie is mostly behind the scenes, but loves being at the track and camps too.

HUDSON TAYLOR, LEAD FIELD REP  

Hudson started riding and racing when he was 5 years old and has been hooked ever since! He has always had a love for both, racing and sharing how Jesus Christ has changed his life. He had the opportunity to intern for FCA MX the summer of 2016 where his love for dirt bike ministry began! He met his wife, Taylor, that summer, who was also interning for FCA MX and also a dirt bike racer. 

Hudson joined Fuel Ministry full-time in May 2019, and now Hudson and Taylor have combined their two passions of racing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to impact the racing community!  Since joining, Fuel Ministry has expanded trackside ministry and has seen significant growth in the number of summer camps.

REBECCA VARNEY,  DIRECTOR OF MARKETING  + FIELD REP 

Rebecca has managed the website, social media, IT, and marketing for Fuel Ministry since May 2017. Rebecca enjoys helping Leslie with camp registration and the paperwork side of the ministry.  If you have called the customer service number, sent a message on social media, or emailed with questions, you probably talked to Rebecca.  :)  Rebecca always has a camera and loves being the camp photographer at several camps each summer.   Rebecca is the Field Rep for Pennsylvania and Ohio Camps and also co-directs Ohio Camp with her husband, Chad.

Chad has been volunteering for Fuel Ministry since 2016.  He has been the Ohio Camp Director since 2019 and is a part of the Fuel Ministry leadership team.

Chad and Rebecca love working together and being a part of the Pennsylvania and Ohio Camp Leadership Teams.  The Varney family began traveling in a Fuel Ministry “Rig” in 2020 to tracks concentrating on trackside ministry in Ohio.

CHARLIE GEORGE, INTERIM FIELD REP

COURTNEY GEORGE, INTERIM PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Charlie and Courtney George have spent the past decade blending ministry, service, and adventure.  With their four kids, they've traveled to over 30 camps, taking on everything from organizing and volunteering to preaching and planning.  These hands-on experiences have only strengthened their family bond and their passion for making a difference.

Since getting married in 2012, Charlie and Courtney have served in many roles within their local church, both as full-time staff and as volunteers.  They have contributed to student ministry, teaching, media, volunteer growth, and much more.

In the summer of 2024, they volunteered at numerous Fuel Ministry camps and felt a connection.  They have since started the process of becoming full-time missionaries for Fuel Ministry and have begun the process of fundraising to be able to come on Staff.   Please consider helping them raise 100% of the support to become full-time staff members for Fuel Ministry.
